Jagran correspondent, Kanpur. Funds have been released to KDA for development works in the state budget. The authority has already prepared an estimate of Rs 715 crore for 20 development works. Tenders have also been issued for many works. The estimate proposal has also been sent to the government. In the first phase, preparations have been made to develop the areas around the Ganga Barrage. Will be developed as a picnic spot. Along with fourlaning the roads around the barrage, greenery will also be done.
Under this, four lanes will be constructed from Company Bagh to behind Atal Ghat for entry from Ganga Barrage with Rs 80 crore. Also, the road around Company Bagh will be widened. Two roads will be widened to link Mainawati Marg to Model Road at a cost of Rs 50 crore and Barrage Road to Mainawati Marg to be linked at a cost of Rs 25 crore.
A 30 meter wide road will be constructed in New Kanpur City at a cost of Rs 25 crore. Also, for greenery, the Botanical Garden located at Ganga Barrage will be beautified with a cost of Rs 35 crore. Besides, beautification work of four lane road from Ganga Barrage to Mandhana will be done with Rs 15 crore.
Greenery will be done with the cost of Rs 160 crore. City forest will be constructed in Maqsoodabad in 110 bighas with the cost of Rs 50 crore. A new park will be established on the side of the highway in Tatyatope Nagar with Rs 30 crore, Sundarikar will be done in Ramlila Park Ratanpur Yojana with Rs 25 crore, beautification and greenery of various parks will be done with Rs 25 crore. A new park will be constructed on six hectares of land on the banks of Pandu river in Barra area with a cost of Rs 30 crore.
The entry road of Chakeri Airport will be beautified with the cost of Rs 75 crore and four major roads of the city will be beautified. Along with the expansion of Chakeri Airport, KDA will now beautify the entry road also. 100 acres of land is being identified for expansion. Apart from this, Chakeri Airport will be beautified with Rs 25 crore. Besides, the four main entry gates of the city will be beautified with a cost of Rs 50 crore. Its estimate has been ready. Preparations are being made to tender.

45 lakh contaminated water of New Transport Nagar will not go into Pandunadi. Along with development, KDA will also save Pandunadi. For this, contaminated water from New Transport Nagar will not be allowed to flow into Pandu river. A Rs 50 crore 4.5 MLD sewerage treatment plant will be constructed to treat the contaminated water supply of New Transport Nagar Phase 1 and 2.
