Anurag Aggarwal, Panchkula. When Haryana Director General of Police Ajay Singhal had to book a banquet hall for his daughter's wedding, he was asked to pay around Rs 5 lakh. He got married with great pomp, but then a thought came to his mind that he was rich and could pay this amount, but if an ordinary police employee had to get his son or daughter married, how would he pay this much amount.

He had decided at that time that if he got a chance, he would definitely construct one banquet hall and four to five rooms in each police line of the state for the families of police personnel. When Ajay Singhal was enumerating his priorities after taking charge as Director General of Police, he also shared the welfare plan of about 90 thousand police personnel of the state.

Made his experience and desire public. Now that Ajay Singhal is going to be the police chief of the state for at least the next two years, he has instructed the concerned officers to explore the possibilities of starting the process of building banquet halls in the district police lines. These banquet halls will be constructed on the vacant land in the police lines, where policemen will be able to organize social programs apart from weddings.

The Director General of Police has set his priorities for police employees and officers. Boosting the morale of police personnel and eliminating their common problems are included in his top agenda.

Ajay Singhal says that police personnel will be given a grant of Rs 5 lakh on the occasion of their daughter's marriage. A plan has been made for this also. A grant of up to Rs 2 lakh is being planned for the children of police employees who perform better in studies.

This will not have any adverse burden on the government budget. According to the Director General of Police, in many districts and police wings, employees often remain under stress due to not getting weekly leave. Instructions have been issued to the SPs of all the districts to make the policy.

Organized toilets for women police personnel

According to Ajay Singhal, the facility of organized toilets will be provided in police stations and posts for women police personnel. Cyber crime and pornography on social sites have emerged as a big challenge. To deal with this, the police is continuously focusing on research.
