Communication Assistant, Mahuda (Dhanbad). The hope of regular electricity supply to the people of Mahuda area was awakened when the construction work of new electric power grid in Radhanagar hill adjacent to Mahuda market started in the year 2019. At present, the electric power grid of Radhanagar is completely ready at a cost of Rs 50 crore. But due to the non-cooperative attitude of the Forest Department, electricity supply from the power grid is not being started.

In this regard, Assistant Manager of Jharkhand Energy Conservation Corporation Limited, Mahuda, Dhaleshwar Mahato said that the work of the project has been stopped due to the Forest Department. If the No Objection Certificate is received from the Forest Department soon, then this power grid will be made operational in two to three months.

He said that 1, 32,000 volt towers are yet to be installed at many places between Laghala to Putki in Chandankiyari in the Forest Department area. For which letters have been given to the Forest Department several times. But till now no positive initiative has been taken on this. He told that this is a power grid center.

Here a 1,32,000 volt connection will come from Laghala in Chandankiyari to Putki and from Putki to Mahuda. The connection work from Putki to Mahuda has been completed. Here, it is proposed to convert 1,32,000 volts into 33 thousand volts and supply electricity to six substations. As soon as the no objection certificate is received from the Forest Department, all the 12 towers will be installed together and made operational.

He said that once this power grid becomes operational, consumers will start getting regular electricity from all the six sub-stations connected to it. It is known that at present electricity comes to Ganeshpur sub station from Chandrapura power grid. From there, electricity is supplied to consumers through several feeders.

Ganeshpur gets electricity irregularly from Chandrapura Power Grid, due to which consumers continue to face problems. With the commissioning of Radhanagar power grid, all the sub stations like Ganeshpur, Bhatdih, Baghmara, Malkera, Loyabad etc. will get uninterrupted electricity. Only then will the electricity problems of consumers be solved. Regular supply of electricity will also provide a lot of convenience to common consumers.
