This will be the first such expressway in Bihar, which will be completely within the state boundaries. With the completion of this project, there will be connectivity with Purvanchal Expressway.
After this, one can travel to Delhi metropolis by road from Kosi and Seemanchal in 17-18 hours. With this, the most backward Kosi-Seemanchal area in Bihar state can become a hub of business. There will likely be a new impetus to industrial, social and economic development in this region.
Activity of land mafia increased due to marking of expressway land
After the land of Purnia-Patna Green Field Expressway was identified, the activity of land mafia has started increasing. In the earlier survey, land of five mouzas of Bihariganj block area was shown, but during the identification of land, due to the absence of land of Tulsia mouza, only four mouzas are coming under the expressway.
The prices of land connected to this route have suddenly started rising. Land brokers are compiling a list of farmers based on the identified land and increasing the price by four-five times.
However, farmers are also refusing to sell their land because the land is marked for the expressway. Farmers hope that after the completion of this ambitious project, the price of land will go up significantly.
A total of 162.3026 hectares of land from 1049 khesra from Bihariganj and Goalpara blocks has been identified for the construction of Purnia-Patna Greenfield Expressway. For this, the process of land acquisition will be done. Its notification has been issued by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India. - Avinash Kumar, Circle Officer, Bihariganj (Madhepura).
