Road widening work has been done from LRP intersection to Indira Recreation Park, but in the urban area, electric poles from the fair ground to the overbridge are not being removed. Despite the instructions of DM, CDO and correspondence of PWD, the work of removing the pillars is stuck. Electricity officials say that the work of shifting of power lines is incomplete due to encroachment, a campaign will be launched soon in collaboration with the administration.
PWD has widened it by 10 meters from LRP intersection to Indira Recreation Park. After this, electric poles have to be shifted and pipelines for drinking water have to be laid. About two years ago, PWD has given Rs 3.42 crore to the Electricity Department and Rs 2.25 crore to the Jal Nigam. Electricity officials argue that shifting of electricity poles has been done from Indira Entertainment Park to Nighasan Dhal.

Electric poles are being installed by LRP, but the work between the fair ground and the over bridge is still incomplete. Along with shifting of power lines, pipelines are also to be laid, after which drains are to be constructed. Due to non-shifting of electric poles, other works are also not being done.
This situation is when DM Durga Shakti Nagpal, CDO Abhishek Kumar are continuously monitoring the works of Mela Road. Executive Engineer of the Electricity Department, Shailendra Singh, says that the electrical work between the fair ground and the over bridge has not been done due to encroachment, hence in collaboration with the administration, first the encroachment will be cleared and then electric poles will be installed.
