Jagran correspondent, Chandigarh. The Punjab Assembly began its special session today by paying tribute to the martyrdom of four Sahibzadas of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. The sacrifice of Guru Sahib's family was remembered. Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan, remembering the unique sacrifice of Chhote Sahibzadas, said that they will not be forgotten.

AAP MLA Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar said that the younger Sahibzadas were lured, intimidated, everything was done. But could not bend them. Dr Nijjar said that we should remember Diwan Todar Mal and Moti Ram Mehra on this occasion. He said that we should avoid petty arguments.

Rana Gurjit said that the whole world will not forget the sacrifice of Chhote Sahibzadas. He said that today history is being spoiled. He is being called Veer Baal, he is our Baba. Banda Singh Bahadur is being called Banda Bairagi.

Earlier he was a recluse until he drank nectar. Today it is not right to call him a recluse. Rana Gurjit said that a resolution should be passed here today that the Central Government should not change the history of Sikhs.

Aam Aadmi Party MLAs will reach the Assembly with letters from more than 10 lakh families and MNREGA workers. The Mann government will convey the voice of the workers to the Prime Minister through these letters. Taking the call of the poor, all the MLAs will reach the assembly unitedly.

BJP MLA Ashwani Sharma said that till now we are stuck in the name of Martyrdom Day whereas this sacrifice has been remembered in every state of this country. While reciting two poems, he remembered the younger Sahibzadas and said that this sacrifice is to unite the country.

On this occasion, Cabinet Minister Aman Arora wanted to know from BJP MLA Ashwani Sharma who had recommended to name it as Children's Day instead of Sahibzade Martyrdom Day, then Ashwani Sharma said that he does not want to do any such politics on this holy occasion.

There is a lot about this on the internet media, you can check it out there. I will not do any such thing today.
