Jagran correspondent, Rae Bareli. To keep the city clean and dispose garbage on time, the municipality is purchasing compactor machines on the lines of big cities. The tender process for this has been completed. The machine is expected to arrive by the last week of January. This will improve the cleanliness system of the city.
Efforts are being made by the municipality to improve the cleanliness ranking. Under this, four compactor machines are being purchased. This will cost around Rs 1 crore. Besides, a towing vehicle will also be purchased to transport the machine at a cost of about Rs 62 lakh.
These machines will be installed in four garbage bins of the city. This machine will be installed in places where more garbage is generated. So that excess garbage can be reduced by pressing it in a short time and filth does not spread on the roads. With this, the ranking of the city can also be improved in the future. Municipality Chairman Shatrohan Sonkar said that continuous efforts are being made to keep the city clean. Under this, four compactors are being purchased at a cost of about Rs 1 crore. The machine will arrive by the last week of January. This will help in keeping the city clean. This is how the machine will work: This machine will be operated by electricity. There will be a button in the machine, as soon as you press the button the gates of the machine will open. After this the garbage will be put in it. The machine will press the garbage into smaller pieces. With this, about eight tons of garbage can be reduced at one time. After this, the garbage will be taken to the garbage disposal plant by towing vehicle, where the garbage will be disposed of.
