Jagran correspondent, Faridabad. On Monday, the tenth day of the International Self-reliant Crafts Fair, people started arriving at the fair from 10 am onwards. Despite it being the first day of the week, a good crowd of tourists was seen in the fair. The management claims that more than 50 thousand visitors have visited the fair. In the bright sunshine, people danced to the beats of the flute and the drums of the Banchari. People's enthusiasm increased further in the evening when artists from India and abroad took out the carnival. The unique confluence of cultures of India and abroad fascinated the tourists.

Echo of cultural programs from 11 am onwards

The presentation had started. The folk songs of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar enthralled the tourists. When the artists performed on Bihar's Nightingale Sharda Sinha's song Paniya Ke Jahaaz Se Palatniya Ban Aiyah Piya..., the people present at the Chaupal were forced to dance. He took out his mobile phone from his pocket and started capturing the scene on camera. After some time, artists from India and abroad performed with their groups. In which their culture was clearly visible. At noon the chaupal was filled with tourists. By evening the fair was once again at Parwan. Due to which its beauty increased.

Shops were busy, lots of shopping was done

People were seen shopping from food stalls to other decoration stalls in the fair. After the accident, like Sunday, there was excitement on Monday too. People roamed around the fair in the bright sunshine and enjoyed cold beverages, ice cream and rabri. Tourists showed special interest in the artworks of artisans from India and abroad. People are making huge purchases of decorative items, designer sarees, suits and foreign jewelery from the fair.

Tourists danced to the songs of Gurdas Maan

The presentation of artists in the cultural evening of International Surajkund International Self-reliant Crafts is being liked very much by the tourists. Fans were desperate to catch a glimpse of Gurdas Maan on Sunday evening. The tourists had reached the Chaupal even before the show started. As soon as he took the stage, Gurdas Mann first expressed deep condolence over the tragic swing accident that took place in the fair.

Tributes were paid to the martyr Inspector Jagdish Prasad who lost his life while saving people. Also wished for the speedy recovery of the tourists injured in the accident. After this the program started. Started singing in his traditional style, the whole complex echoed with thunderous applause.

The song 'Je dekhna teri rahmat', immersed in religious and Sufi colors, was done with bat and bat. The tourists were made to dance with songs like Dil Da Mamla Hai..., Peeth Teri Jaan Di... and Raaton Ko Uth-Uth Ke... among others. At the end of the cultural evening, Punjabi artist Gurdas Maan was honored by DCP Maqsood Ahmed, AGM of Tourism Corporation and Nodal Officer of the Fair Harvinder Singh Yadav, AGM Rajpal by presenting memento and shawl.
