Jagran correspondent, Gorakhpur. Shri Ram Katha is the nectar that takes away every pain of life. Shri Ram Katha started in Champa Devi Park on Tuesday. The devotees kept listening to the galaxy of bhajans along with the story that Rajan Maharaj streamed from the pulpit. The atmosphere became devotional with the sweet tunes of bhajans. The glow of faith in the eyes of the devotees and joy in their hearts was clearly visible. It seemed as if the presence of Shri Ram himself was touching the hearts of the listeners. Kathavyas said that the one who meditates in this stream of nectar will easily cross the ocean of existence.
Rajan Maharaj said that Tulsidas ji has considered Kaliyuga as the best among the four yugas, because in this era, attaining God is not possible through difficult penance or complex rituals, but only by remembering the name. Giving an example, he said that even after thousands of years of penance in Satyayuga, seeing God was not certain.
Manu-Shatarupa performed penance for 23 thousand years in Naimisharanya, only then they saw God. There was a tradition of Yagyas in Treta Yuga. The Lord descended from the Yagya of the son of Maharaj Dasharatha. In Dwapar, one could meet God through worship, but in Kaliyuga, merely remembering God's name while performing one's duty is the easy path to salvation.
In the middle of the story, when the waves of bhajans rose, the audience became emotional. The eyes of many devotees became moist, while many were seen bowing with folded hands. The entire pandal echoed with the sound of “Sitaram-Sitaram”. Rajan Maharaj, underlining the importance of Shri Ramcharitmanas, said that this book written by Tulsidas ji is available in every Sanatani's home and the credit for its propagation goes to Geeta Press.
He said in an emotional tone that Geeta Press has such a debt to Sanatan Samaj, which no one can repay even in lifetimes. He also clarified that merely keeping Manas in the house is of no benefit. For benefit it is necessary for the mind to reach the mind.

This event of Shri Ram Katha is a journey to take the mind to the mind, where the words will reach the heart and remove the pain of life. The Ganga of the story will flow here for nine days, the lucky ones will bless their lives by taking a dip in it.

Referring to the statement of Tulsidas ji, Rajan Maharaj said that he did not give himself the credit for the creation of Manas. It is said that first of all Lord Shankar created it in his mind and when the beautiful time came, he presented it to Goddess Parvati. It is a beautiful time when the passion for the story awakens in the listener's mind. At the conclusion of the story, Aarti was performed and with cheers the devotees prayed to the Lord to take away the pain of life.
Such a confluence of faith, devotion and spirituality was seen in the event, which touched the listeners deeply and infused peace, faith and joy in their minds. Before the beginning of the story, the chief hosts Dr. Kumud Tripathi and Madan Mohan Tripathi worshiped the Vyaspeeth. Kathavyas was welcomed by MLA Sahajanwan Pradeep Shukla. A large number of devotees were present on this occasion.
