In the meeting of the District Panchayat Board in the ongoing Kisan Fair in Rathonda, the revised budget of 171 construction works worth about Rs 26 crore was given the green signal. With this budget, various development works including construction of roads will be carried out in rural areas. Along with this, the proposal to make the Rathonda fair venue grand was also agreed upon in the board meeting.

In Rathonda, a grand farmers fair is organized by the District Panchayat on the occasion of Mahashivratri. This time also this fair is being run from 14th February and will continue till 2nd March. A meeting of the District Panchayat Board was held at the camp office of the President located in the fair premises. After discussing various proposals, green signal was given to carry out revised 131 construction related works in the district.
Consent was also expressed on the proposal to make Rathonda fair venue grand.
Approximately Rs 26 crore will be spent on various construction works including roads in various areas. The board unanimously gave it the green signal. Along with this, District Panchayat member of Rathonda area, Tek Chandra Gangwar proposed to provide grandeur to the area including beautification of the shops of Rathonda. This was passed with consent. Earlier, at the beginning of the meeting, a proposal was made to confirm the action of the board meeting held on 25 October 2025. After this, some members raised the issue of charging more tax.
Income is also essential for development works
Khayaliram Lodhi, who is presiding over the board, said that the deposits are being made only as per the rules laid down by the board and government level. He said that income is also essential for development works. This is possible only with license and tax. He also said that the development of rural areas is being done rapidly by the District Panchayat. Which will continue further also.
However, due to the organization of a mass marriage ceremony in the district on Saturday itself and the completion of resolution day at the tehsil level, the presence of district level officers has been less. Due to this, there was less discussion regarding the schemes run by the concerned departments.

Apart from the Chairman, 20 members including District Panchayat members Imtiaz Hussain Chintu, Mustafa Hussain, Ata Urrahman, Amarjeet Singh, Khalil Ansari, Khalil Ahmed, Riyasat Ali and Asma etc. were present in the meeting. The operation was done by Pankaj Chaturvedi, Executive Officer and Additional Development Officer in-charge of District Panchayat. Apart from these, Engineer Mohammad Sajjad, Junior Engineer Dhirendra Kumar etc. were present.
