Jagran correspondent, Sirsa. Mahila Thana Police has arrested an accused in the case of rape of minor sisters. The arrested accused has been identified as 22-year-old Bunty alias Chandrabhan, resident of village Gindra.
The police have produced the accused in the court and sent him to jail in judicial custody, while another accused in the case is still absconding. Investigating officer PSI Komal said that during police interrogation, the accused admitted that he was in contact with both the girls for about a year.
The accused used to lure them in his car, take them to different places and rape them. He told that the second accused in this case is still absconding, for whose arrest Mahila Thana police teams are continuously raiding and he will be caught soon.
It is noteworthy that on January 6, the Mahila police station had registered a case under POCSO Act and other criminal sections for raping two minor sisters of a village in Nathusari Chowpata section of the district. The police is investigating the case thoroughly and the search for the absconding accused is ongoing.
