Jagran correspondent, Rishikesh. The alleged Swami, a resident of Delhi, raped the girl by pretending to be a spiritual guru and curing diseases through Pranayam.
It is alleged that the accused raped the girl by fraudulently giving her intoxicant in the name of medicine. Police have registered a case and arrested the accused from Delhi.
The victim, resident of Kotwali area, had given a complaint letter to the SSP in this matter. It was told in the complaint that he had seen videos of Swami Raj Vibhu alias Rajeev Ranjan resident of Mahalaxmi Apartment Sector 2, Plot No. 4, Dwarka New Delhi on internet media.
In which he was seen claiming to cure many diseases through Pranayam. Being spiritually inclined and suffering from some physical problems, he joined his Anlan course. The victim also attended his satsang in Kashi.
According to the victim, impressed by the accused's attire and words, when she shared her personal problems, the accused gave her his mobile number and asked her to contact him. After that the accused from Delhi brought him to Rishikesh by car.
On March 4 last year, the accused gave her intoxicants in the name of medicine after telling her there was a defect in her body in a hotel. After which she became unconscious. After that the accused had physical relations with her and went back to Delhi from there.
When the victim called the accused Baba, he told about his past lives and proposed marriage. After that, on March 6, he was called to a temple in Virbhadra and asked for vermilion.
Even after that he raped her several times. Inspector Kailash Chandra Bhatt, in-charge of Rishikesh police station, said that a case has been registered and the accused has been arrested from Delhi.
