Ration Card Rules Will Change From February, Those Who Do Not Do E-KYC Will Not Get Food Grains

State Bureau, Jagran, Dehradun. There are going to be many changes in the rules related to ration cards from the month of February. Those ration card holders who have not done e-KYC, their ration distribution may stop from February 1.

Currently, about 10 lakh cardholders in Uttarakhand have not done e-KYC. At the same time, the distribution of ration to card holders who are declared ineligible for having a four-wheeler, government job or income above the fixed income limit will also be stopped from February 1.

50 thousand ration cards have been canceled in the state. There are a large number of people who were taking advantage of the ration distribution facility despite being within the higher income limit.

Now they will not get the benefit of ration facility. Along with this, there is a plan to provide pulses and salt along with wheat and rice from the new month.

To make the ration distribution system transparent, the standards of food grain distribution have also been changed. E-KYC has been made mandatory for ration card holders.

Ration cards in which Aadhaar based verification of all members is not completed by January 31 will be considered invalid after February 1.

PS Pangati, Additional Commissioner of Food Civil Supplies Department, said that a campaign is being run to conduct e-KYC of all ration card holders, card holders will not be allowed to face any problem. Talks are being held at the government level to extend the time period of the campaign.
