The work of hearing of voters with no mapping is going on at 41 places in the district, where officials are sitting and voters' papers are being taken. Papers are also being checked. Due to the hearing venue being far from the village, elderly people and women are facing a lot of difficulty in going.
At many places the hearing venue is at a distance of 20 to 30 kilometers. After raising this issue, it has been decided that voters who are facing difficulty in reaching the hearing venue can send a relative as their representative by putting their signature or thumb impression. These representatives will provide their documents to the concerned officer. After this their further investigation will be done.
Notices have been sent to 1 lakh 37 thousand people in the case of no mapping in the district. Now the hearing is being held on the basis of their response to the notices. The issue of remoteness of the hearing venue was raised by Samajwadi Party's SIR in-charge Udaybhan Singh Yadav. He had demanded solution to this problem.
Due to the distance of the hearing venue, voters are also arriving in less numbers. After this, it has now been decided that voters can send their representative. After a two-day break, the hearing will resume from January 27.
Hearing of voters with no mapping is going on at many places at Tehsil and Block headquarters as well as at the district level. Voters were heard by AERO Anupam Shukla at BERC in Basrehar block. BLO Abhishek Yadav and computer operator Rahul were present.
