Vinod Chaudhary, Kurukshetra. Renu Sangwan, who won the National Gopal Ratna Award 2024, has given recognition to desi cows and their ghee at the global level. The desi ghee prepared by them is attracting foreigners also.
The result of his hard work is that today the demand for his ghee has increased in more than 10 countries. Renu started dairy business in 2016 with 8-10 desi cows and today she has more than 250 cows. These include cows of Haryana breed along with Gir, Rathi and Tharparkar breeds. Renu Sangwan prepares ghee using the ancient Vedic Biluna method, whose fragrance attracts everyone. Through this process, along with rearing indigenous cows, she is also earning an annual income of crores of rupees.

In the state level livestock exhibition organized at the fair ground of Kurukshetra Development Board, the milk-white Nukari breed mare 'Meera' has attracted everyone's attention. This mare is 65 inches high and 27 months old, which is known for its beauty and balanced physique.
Ashish, who came from village Jhook of Mahendragarh, told that Meera is the daughter of the famous Nukra horse 'Shakti' of Punjab. He bought Meera at the age of two months for Rs 3.5 lakh.
Ashish has been rearing horses for four years.
Ashish informed about horse rearing for the last four years. He told that his family had never owned a horse before, but his interest increased after seeing horses in the neighborhood.
Haryana breed of cow is known for its extraordinary agility. It can jump a six feet high wall without support. The milk of this breed is more nutritious than other breeds.
