8th century inscription and ancient Shiva temple

Samvad Sutra, Rampur. The temple of Lord Bholenath situated on the Barwa hill adorned with natural beauty is neglected. People get attracted by its beauty but they get disappointed due to the inconvenience present here. There is an ancient Shiva temple on Barwa hill located near Nauhatta village of Rampur block.

This is the reason that for years this place has been a center of faith for the people of many districts of Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and Bihar. The inscription on the hill is also neglected. There is a huge crowd of people here every Monday of the month of Sawan. Whereas a fair is held on the day of Mahashivratri.

Officers and public representatives also keep coming here. But no initiative was taken to develop it as a tourist destination. Forget about other facilities, there was no provision of drinking water and toilet here.

The inscription is from the eighth century

There is Barwa hill near Nauhatta village on Bhabhua Sabar main road. There is an ancient temple of Lord Shankar on the hill. There is also an important inscription at some distance from the temple on the hill itself, which is in Siddha Matrika script and is said to be of the eighth century.

To reach the temple, the villagers have made the rough hilly road level by donating labor for about five hundred feet. It took about two months to make it. This now provides some convenience to the devotees in reaching the temple.

Facility is provided on special occasions

Every year on the day of Mahashivratri festival, a fair is organized in the ancient Shiva temple complex situated on Barwa hill. Where devotees reach and perform Jalabhishek of Shivalinga. Along with this, the people who come enjoy the fair. Necessary facilities are provided in the temple for the convenience of the devotees.

There is a Shiva temple in every village. But climbing the hill via the footpath and performing Jalabhishek in the Shiva temple situated on Barwa hill has a different significance. A fair is held here twice a year. Where crowds of devotees gather.

Chyawanprash is a part of every Indian's life, it reduces diseases and increases energy.
