State Bureau, Patna. A proposal has been sent to the Cabinet to restart the operation of toy train in Sanjay Gandhi Biological Park. The proposal for the toy train was approved in a meeting chaired by Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Dr. Pramod Kumar on Friday. The proposal of toy train sent to the cabinet is worth Rs 5,81,73,738.

It was decided to approach Danapur Division of Indian Railways for re-operation of the toy train at Sanjay Gandhi Biological Park. The project worth Rs 988.6 lakh was approved in the cabinet meeting held in August 2024. After this, a memorandum of understanding for the toy train was signed between Sanjay Gandhi Biological Park and Railway Board, Danapur.

This will be the length of the track of the toy train.

After this, Danapur Railway Division dedicated a plan of Rs 5,81,73,738 in December 2024, which was approved on Friday. The minister of the department directed to start the work immediately. The track length of the toy train will be 3.7 km. It will have four coaches with battery operated eco-friendly engines. 20-30 tourists will be able to sit in one coach.
