Bagaha Accident: In a tragic road accident on the Bagaha-Bhairoganj main road on Saturday night, a woman riding a tempo died on the spot, while her husband was seriously injured. This accident happened due to a collision with a speeding truck near Sikti bridge.
According to the information, Anil Mukhiya, resident of Deurva village, was traveling in a tempo with his wife Itwari Devi (40). Meanwhile, a speeding truck coming from behind hit the tempo hard. The collision was so severe that the tempo overturned.
Anil Mukhiya was seriously injured in the accident, who was admitted to the Community Health Center in Bhairoganj for treatment. His wife Itwari Devi died on the spot.
As soon as information about the incident was received, Bhairoganj police station reached the spot and took the body into custody and sent it to the sub-divisional hospital for post-mortem, where the post-mortem process was completed.
After the accident, the truck driver left the vehicle and fled from the spot. Police have seized the truck and are conducting raids in search of the driver. At present the police is busy investigating the matter.
According to local people, accidents often happen on this route due to speeding vehicles. People have demanded the administration to take concrete steps for road safety.
