After taking hostage, the miscreants broke the locks of the cupboards and looted the house. According to the victim's family, the criminals looted and vandalized around Rs 6.80 lakh in cash, gold jewelery worth around Rs 11 lakh and some other valuables.
Second major incident of robbery in the district
The surprising thing is that just two days ago, the house of a medicine store owner in Turmunga police station area (Khiritangari village) of Keonjhar was also looted in a similar manner. Due to these continuous incidents, there is a lot of anger and insecurity among the villagers. Shuakathi police station has registered a case and cordoned off the area. Along with scanning the CCTV footage, the police are conducting raids to arrest the suspects.
