Digital Desk, New Delhi. A major accident was averted at Raipur's Swami Vivekananda Airport on Saturday. Due to a technical glitch, the Indigo flight coming from Bhopal to Raipur suddenly jumped on the runway after landing, causing panic among the passengers.
The Indigo flight had left from Bhopal at 1:15 pm on Saturday. As soon as the plane touched the runway after reaching Raipur, there was a sudden shock. The pilot then took off and hovered the plane for 20 minutes before making a rough landing again.
According to the information, this problem occurred due to a malfunction in the landing gear. The airport management canceled the next flight of the aircraft due to the fault. Passengers bound for Bhopal were diverted via Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata. Earlier also incidents of rough landing had taken place in Raipur in September 2024 and January 2020.
