Communication partner, Muradnagar. A farmer was murdered by hitting him on the head with a hammer in Sultanpur village of the police station area. The farmer's body was found in a blood soaked condition in the field. The hammer was also recovered from the spot. The farmer had left home two days earlier to go to the fields. His son had lodged a missing complaint at Muradnagar police station. Police have sent the body for post-mortem. The reason for the murder is still unclear. Till the time of writing the news, no complaint has been given to the police.
The 42-year-old lawyer was a farmer in Sultanpur village of the police station area. Used to do farming by taking land as share cropping. Lived with wife Suramali and seven children. Two daughters are married. On Saturday morning the lawyer had left home to go to the farm. Haven't returned home since then. When no clue was found even after extensive searching, elder son Sameer lodged a missing complaint in the police station on Sunday.
After some time, around 2 o'clock in the afternoon, the body of the farmer was found in the fields of nearby Bhadauli. The news of the dead body being found in the field spread throughout the village. A large number of people gathered at the spot.
On information, police reached the spot and investigated. Marks of being hit with a heavy object were found on the head of the dead body. A hammer was also lying in the field some distance away from the dead body. Seeing the blood marks on the hammer, it is suspected that the farmer was murdered with it. After identifying the body, the police informed the relatives. The team of forensic department also reached the spot and collected evidence. After this the body was sent for postmortem.
The farmer was last seen with a young bike rider.
The people of the village told that on Saturday evening the lawyer was standing near the liquor shop located near the village, although he did not drink alcohol. After some time, a young man riding a bike came there with whom he went on the bike. There was no trace of him since then.
Evidence of struggle found at the scene
Traces of struggle were found around the field in Bhadauli village where the body was found. It is suspected that the farmer was somehow lured into the field. Before the murder, there must have been a fierce scuffle between the accused and the farmer.
Police team is working in the case. Investigation is going on on all angles. At present no complaint has been received from the family. The incident will be exposed soon.
