The SP chief has put the Yogi Adityanath government in the dock for the vandalism at Manikarnika Ghat in Varanasi as well as for stopping Swami Avimukteshwarananda from bathing in the Magh Mela.
Akhilesh Yadav has raised questions on the qualifications of saints and condemned the discrimination against them. In a post on X, he has also advised the government to apologize to the saints. Akhilesh posted, “Apologizing for someone else's mistake, even if you are indirectly related to it from a distance, does not make anyone small, rather it makes the mind feel light and good.
Great people know that someone else must have had some personal reason or selfishness behind that audacity, that is why they wholeheartedly forgive the person asking for forgiveness and also give their love and blessings. That is why it is said in our culture: Kshama Veerasya Bhushanam.
In another post, he wrote that in the very corrupt rule of BJP, a new game has started in the name of fair, of siphoning off a huge sum of fifty thousand rupees in the form of commission. That is why even those saints and sages who are the beauty of the fair are not getting respect.
The administration is doing very objectionable and insulting violent misbehavior with those whose darshan is merely a blessing because the BJP group is in collusion in this dirty business of commission commission of 'Mela Mahacorruption'. Asking for certificate is the biggest insult to Sanatan
Amidst the growing controversy over stopping Swami Avimukteshwaranand from taking Sangam bath in Prayagraj Magh Mela, in the process of seeking notice and reply between the Magh Mela administration and Shankaracharya, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav said that asking for a certificate from Swami Avimukteshwaranand is the biggest insult to Sanatan. Akhilesh Yadav said that if an officer asks a saint what are your qualifications, then there can be no greater insult to our Sanatan Dharma than this. He has called it the biggest insult to Sanatan Dharma, saints, culture, Magh Mela and India.
