Samvad Sutra, Jagran Sant Kabir Nagar. Approval of Rs 51 lakh has been received from the government for the repair of Manpur-Ajaon link road. This road was in a bad condition for almost a decade.
People were facing difficulty in commuting. The former area Panchayat member had given a letter to the MP for its repair. On this, the MP had sent a letter to the Principal Secretary, Public Works Department-Lucknow.
The Manpur-Ajaon road constructed by PWD for almost a decade had become completely dilapidated. The gravel on the road had been dislodged and spread. Many places on this road had turned into potholes. Due to this, people were facing difficulty in commuting every day.
The villagers complained to higher officials several times. A protest was also held for the repair of the road. Even after this no initiative was taken. Seeing the problems of the public, former area Panchayat member Indrashekhar Singh Yadav had informed MP Laxmikant alias Pappu Nishad about this problem through a letter.
On this, the MP had sent a letter to the Principal Secretary, Public Works Department-Lucknow. The government has sanctioned Rs 51 lakh for the repair work of this road. Once this road is repaired, the traffic problem of people of more than half a dozen villages of the area will be solved.
The MP confirmed this. Meanwhile, Executive Engineer of Public Works Department, RK Pandey said that he will be able to tell anything about it only after coming to the office on Monday.
