Today a special combination of Parigh, Shiva, Gajakesari, Lakshmi-Narayan and Budhaditya Yoga is being formed. According to astrologers, worshiping Goddess Saraswati in this rare yoga, formed after years, increases knowledge, wisdom, speech and memory power. Today is considered very auspicious especially for students and children starting education, due to which there are chances of success in the field of knowledge.
The journey of knowledge begins with Aksharambh
According to Acharya Krishnanand Jha, today after Saraswati Puja, Aksharambha Sanskar will be performed for newborns and small children in the traditional method. During this period, children will be given knowledge of alphabets for the first time. Writing will be started with sacred letters like Om, Shri and A. This ritual, performed in the presence of parents and teachers, lays a strong foundation for the intellectual development, values and conscience of the children.

The white clothes of Mother Saraswati are considered a symbol of purity, peace and goodness. His vehicle swan is a symbol of wisdom, which teaches to distinguish between truth and falsehood. The veena held in the mother's hands gives the message that through sounds, mantras, bhajans and self-study, it is possible to attain spiritual bliss and spiritual knowledge, due to which the seeker rises above worldly attachment.
Relationship between yellow clothes and planet Jupiter
The tradition of wearing yellow clothes on Basant Panchami has special religious and astrological significance. Yellow color is considered to be associated with the planet Jupiter, which is the factor of knowledge, prosperity and auspiciousness. It is believed that Shri Krishna also worshiped Mother Saraswati by wearing Pitambara on Magh Shukla Panchami. Yellow color brings positive energy, mental peace and sweetness in relationships.
Auspicious time of Saraswati Puja
Today Panchami Tithi will last till 12:22 am. Chara, Labh and Amrit Muhurta will be there from 06:38 am to 10:40 am. Abhijeet Muhurta will be from 11:40 to 12:23 pm, while worshiping in Taurus ascendant from 12:28 to 02:25 pm is considered especially fruitful.
Special benefits of worship according to zodiac sign
People of Aries zodiac sign have been advised to offer vermilion and red flowers. Green pen and yellow flowers are considered auspicious for Taurus. People with Gemini zodiac sign should offer white pen and Aparajita flowers, while offering jaggery along with books to the people of Virgo zodiac sign is considered to increase knowledge and intelligence.
Idol immersion with environmental protection
On the occasion of Saraswati Puja, special arrangements have been made in Patna keeping in mind environmental protection. A total of seven artificial ponds have been created by Patna Municipal Corporation in different areas, in which instructions have been given for immersion of idols and worship materials. Provision for fine and action has also been made for violation of rules.
Strict surveillance on seven ghats
Artificial ponds have been built in Bankipur, Patliputra, Azimabad and Patna City areas. Barricading, lighting and security arrangements have been made at these ghats. Municipal Corporation teams will monitor the pandals and special attention will be paid to following cleanliness standards.
Appeal for plastic free puja
Municipal Commissioner Yashpal Meena has appealed to the people that Saraswati Puja should be organized with environmental responsibility. A special cleaning campaign will be conducted to maintain the cleanliness of river Ganga and other water sources. Also, awareness teams will continuously alert the devotees at the ghats to avoid the use of plastic, polythene and non-biodegradable materials.
