SC-ST Section Extended Against Those Accused Of Obscenity With Gorakhpur AIIMS Doctor, Police Will Interrogate On Remand

Jagran correspondent, Gorakhpur. The police has increased the SC-ST section against the three accused for making racial remarks and indecently touching a doctor living in the north-eastern state of Nagaland. Along with this, the police can take the accused on remand for further interrogation.

After the arrest of the third accused Aditya Rao on Tuesday, the police produced all three in the court and sent them to jail. This incident happened on Sunday evening. Accused Aditya and Amrit, who were studying in the university, had reached Orion Mall in Mohaddipur to attend the birthday party of their friend Suraj.

A third year postgraduate student (resident) in the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Gorakhpur, also came to Orion Mall by bike along with an MBBS student. Where all three misbehaved with the doctor.

After the complaint, AIIMS police started investigation and found that the accused had made racial remarks at the doctor inside the goods. When the doctor resisted him, he started following him while returning. Surrounded and stopped near gate number two of AIIMS. Touched them obscenely and threatened to kill them. Police registered a case on the doctor's complaint.

CO Cantt Yogendra Singh said that Aditya Rao, a resident of Rampur Khas village of Tarkulwa, Deoria, lives in the hostel of Gorakhpur University. Ramnath Uttari's Amrit Vishwakarma studies with him. Suraj lives in Umanagar of Deoria.

While celebrating Suraj's birth anniversary, the trio sexually assaulted, stalked and threatened the doctor. In the case registered earlier, the section of SC-ST has been extended. During the investigation, the accused will be taken on remand if necessary. Preparations are underway to file a charge sheet against the accused in the court as soon as possible.
