Education Desk, New Delhi. Along with severe cold, dense fog is being seen in Uttar Pradesh. In such a situation, the school holidays have been extended by the state government. Now schools from nursery to class 8th in the state will remain closed till January 15. Apart from this, schools for classes 9th to 12th will remain closed till January 5. After this decision, there will be a holiday in schools belonging to all the boards including ICSE, CBSE and UP Board in the state. If any school does not follow this then action will be taken against it for violating the rules.
Winter vacation will remain in Punjab till January 8
Apart from UP, winter vacation has been announced in schools in Punjab till January 8. In view of the increasing cold, State Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains has decided to extend the holidays from January 1 to January 8.
Schools will remain closed in Rajasthan till this date
Due to cold wave in Rajasthan, there will be holidays in schools till January 5. In Jaipur, the District Collector has announced holidays in Anganwadi centers from January 2 to January 10. Apart from Rajasthan, all pre-primary classes in Kashmir Valley will start from 26 November to 28 February 2026, all classes from 1 to 8 will start from 1 December to 28 February 2026 and for classes 9 to 12 will start from 11 December and end on 22 February 2026.
