Jagran correspondent, Karnal. There was a stir after the severed head of a cow was found in the Sirsa-Habadi branch canal in Nigdu of Karnal district. Bajrang Dal and Cow Raksha Dal protested fiercely, calling it a brutal murder. Police have registered the case and started investigation and have sent the severed head to the lab.

Cow Raksha Dal activists demanded immediate arrest of the culprits, due to which there is an atmosphere of tension in the area. At the same time, the Sarpanch of the village has appealed not to give houses to outsiders without police verification.

According to veterinarians, the severed head is believed to be 4-5 days old. It is being told that the quantity of water from the canal has reduced only two days ago. A severed head of a cow was found inside the canal, where stray dogs were scratching it. Flowers, incense, incense sticks and perfumes were also seen around the body of the cow.

Bajrang Dal-Cow Raksha Dal protest

A large number of workers of Bajrang Dal and Cow Raksha Dal sat on strike in protest against the incident. The activists demanded immediate arrest of the accused and said such incidents create tension in the society. The atmosphere remained completely heated during the strike. Activists said that if action is not taken soon, the movement will be intensified.

Nigdu coordinator Ashish Kumar said that he received information about this incident around 6 pm. After this all the workers reached the spot. He informed about this incident by dialing 112 and at the local police station. Activists of Bajrang Dal and Gau Raksha Dal demanded action against the accused.

Action will be taken against the culprits: Police

Nigdu police station SHO Satish Kumar says that a case has been registered against the people who committed this murder and action has been initiated. The severed head of the cow has been seized and sent to the lab for testing. This matter is being investigated seriously. The culprits will be identified and strict action will be taken against them.

Do not give house without police information: Sarpanch

Village Sarpanch Jitendra Arora said that the villagers should not give houses etc. to any outsider or unknown person in their vicinity without police information. He told that if any outsider comes to the village, then he should give his house and shop on rent only after taking his Aadhar card, voter card and getting his name registered in the police station.
