Jagran correspondent, Gorakhpur. With the aim of providing better facilities for auspicious and social programs at low cost to low and middle income group families, events will start after Holi in the Kalyan Mandapam which has been completed in Bichhiya.
Gorakhpur Development Authority (GDA) has issued e-tender for selection of private firm for its operation and management. Interested organizations will be able to apply online till 16th February. The entire tender process will be conducted through digital medium.
Under the Kalyan Mandapam scheme started on the initiative of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, this building has been built in the forest Tulsiram Bichhiya area of Ward 22 Tulsiram West. Its objective is to provide facilities like marriage houses to the needy families at affordable rates. This will promote social, cultural and family events at the local level.
Before this, Kalyan Mandapam of Manbela has been inaugurated, while construction work is going on in Nakaha No.-02, Basharatpur and Madhavnagar Moharipur. Apart from this, the foundation stone of new Kalyan Mandapam is also proposed in Semra area of Mahadev Jharkhandi Piece No. 03 and Ward 02 Baba Raghav Das. These two projects will cost approximately Rs 2.50 crore.

Bichhiya Kalyan Mandapam has been constructed in a two-storey format on 1120 square meter land with the Chief Minister's MLA fund. On the ground floor, a 388 square meter hall with a capacity of about 225 people, kitchen, store, office room, additional room and separate toilets for men and women have been built. On the first floor, a large hall of 321 square meters, two rooms with attached toilets and separate toilets are available.
