Shocking Cyber Fraud In Balrampur: Rs 87 Lakh Withdrawn From Bank Account, Victim Had No Idea

Jagran correspondent, Balrampur. A digital transaction of Rs 87 lakh was made from the bank account of Anisur Rahman, resident of Chowkia Gosaindih, Tulsipur, and he did not even know. The victim has filed a case against an unknown person in the cyber crime police station after the money went missing from the bank account.

The victim told that he has an account in Axis Bank. Between 20 and 25 November 2025, illegal digital transactions of approximately Rs 87 lakh have taken place from the bank account. Money has been sent from the account to the accounts of many individuals and organizations including Khidmat-e-Khalke, Vimlesh Kunur, Trinity e-Commerce and Girannaz Traders.

According to the victim, he neither gave any information related to his bank account, ATM card, mobile payment PIN or internet banking to anyone nor gave permission for any transaction. The impact of cyber fraud has been so serious that many complaints related to cyber crime have been registered in different states of the country regarding transactions related to the victim's bank account.

The victim's bank account has come under suspicion. Due to this, his bank account has gone into negative balance of Rs 1 lakh 50 thousand. Due to this, the financial condition of the victim has become very bad. The victim had also lodged a complaint about the case on the National Crime Reporting Portal. Apart from this, by giving information to the bank, details related to the account, transaction details and other documents have also been made available to the police.

Cyber ​​crime station in-charge inspector RP Yadav said that an FIR has been registered against unknown persons and organizations in the matter. The matter is being investigated. Cooperation is being sought from concerned banks and agencies for recovery of illegally transferred funds and identification of the accused.
