A person traveling in a car and a resident of Malauna Khasiyari village of Naveen Mardan Shravasti area died in a road accident in Ghatampur area of Kanpur district on Sunday morning. Six people have been injured. As soon as the news of the accident reached the village, there was chaos in the houses of the dead and injured. There was silence in the entire village.
Chandra Bhan Shukla, a resident of Malauna Khasiyari village, had gone in a car with his family and village people to take Sangam bath in Prayagraj on Saturday afternoon. Injured Rajan Shukla told Jagran team on mobile phone that after taking bath at around 12.30 in the night, everyone left for Kanpur.
In the morning, near Nauranga in Ghatampur area of Kanpur, the car suddenly went out of control and collided with a tree on the roadside and overturned. Somehow they took everyone out of the car, but could not rescue Chandra Bhan Shukla who was trapped in the vehicle. He called the police and ambulance vehicle.
Ambulance personnel took everyone to Ghatampur CHC. Here the doctors declared Chandrabhan dead. Injured Rajan, Ashwini, Nitish Kumar, Manoj, Dhode Mishra and Bhure Arya have been referred to Hallett Hospital in Kanpur. The injured are being treated here.
The injured are members of the same family and neighbours. People were shocked by this unexpected incident. Most of the families in the village affected by the incident did not have their stove lit on Sunday. There is mourning in the entire village.
