Former MP Shwet Malik met Vice President of India and Rajya Sabha Chairman C.P. in Delhi. Honoring Radhakrishnan.
Jagran correspondent, Amritsar. Former MP and former Punjab BJP President Engineer Shwet Malik met Vice President of India and Rajya Sabha Chairman C.P. in Delhi. Made a courtesy call on Radhakrishnan. On this occasion, Shwet Malik honored the Vice President and congratulated him for his successful tenure.
Shwet Malik said that former Maharashtra Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan's personality is a wonderful combination of service, dedication and simplicity. He always considered public service as the goal of his life and has established a unique identity on the strength of his long-term experience, humble nature and sharp intellect.
Malik expressed happiness over Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the NDA family making him the Vice-Presidential candidate and said his experience will take the dignity of the country's highest house to new heights.

Became a member of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh at a young age
Malik told that 68 year old C.P. Radhakrishnan was associated with Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh in his youth. He remained a member of the Executive Committee of Tamil Nadu Jana Sangh till 1974. His political career has been more driven by ideology than any career.
On 9 September 2025, he was elected Vice-President of India. He secured 452 votes out of total 752 valid votes and defeated Indi Bloc candidate Justice B. Defeated Sudarshan Reddy by 152 votes. CP Radhakrishnan was elected MP from Coimbatore Lok Sabha constituency as a BJP candidate in the years 1998 and 1999.
During this period, he served on several parliamentary committees and was also a member of the special committee formed to investigate the stock market scam. He also represented India in the United Nations General Assembly. As the Tamil Nadu state president of BJP from 2004 to 2007, he took out a 93-day Rath Yatra on issues like interlinking of rivers, ending untouchability, fight against terrorism and Uniform Civil Code.

Expressed concern over the law and order situation of Punjab
During the meeting, Shwet Malik also expressed serious concern about the law and order situation in Punjab. He said that during the tenure of Aam Aadmi Party's Bhagwant Mann government, the morale of the police and administration has fallen and the law and order situation in the state remains worrisome. He alleged that the situation has worsened due to the administrative failure of the government and political protection given to criminals.
