Sitapur Way Naimisharanya Kannauj Marg
Ismail Baig, Jagran Sitapur. Along with the state government, the central government is also concerned about promoting Naimisharanya on the global stage. Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has given in-principle approval to convert about 125 kilometers of road from Sitapur to Kannauj into phone lanes.
This will ease the connectivity of Naimisharanya with western districts. Pilgrims from Firozabad, Shikohabad and Etawah will come to Araul in Kannauj via Agra Expressway. One can come to Naimisharanya from here. Apart from this, the journey of pilgrims from Farrukhabad, Auraiya and Kanpur will also become easier.
Misrikh MP Ashok Rawat had met Nitin Gadkari on December 18 with the demand of widening the national highways of his Lok Sabha constituency. During the meeting, Nitin Gadkari's focus remained more on Naimisharanya.
They discussed increasing the number of pilgrims to Naimisharanya. On this, the MP pointed out the problem of not having a better route from the western districts to Naimisharanya. It was also told how with the construction of Sitapur-via Naimisharanya-Kannauj route, the connection of western districts with the pilgrimage city through expressway will become easier.
Apart from this, business activities will also get a boost. Potatoes from Farrukhabad, perfume from Kannauj and bangles from Firozabad can be taken to Nepal via Lakhimpur through this route.
On this, Nitin Gadkari gave in-principle consent to make the road four-lane. He also assured that soon advance action will be taken by asking for a detailed report from NHAI for the construction.

Number of devotees from Nepal will increase
Devotees from Nepal visit Naimisharanya after having darshan of Maa Purnagiri. After this he goes to Rajasthan to visit Mehandipur Balaji. With the widening of this route, this religious circuit of the devotees of Nepal will be completed easily. He will be able to reach Agra via expressway. From here you will reach Balaji temple.
