Jagran correspondent, Farrukhabad. Inspector Ramniwas Yadav and PWD contractor Mohd. The troubles of the relatives of declared mafia Anupam Dubey, who is serving life imprisonment in Mathura jail for the murder of Shamim, are increasing again.
Police have taken into custody six people including two brothers of history-sheeter Anupam Dubey. Dabban was brought to Fatehgarh and Babban was brought to Maudarwaja police station from Nabiganj in Mainpuri.
Before taking action against them, consultation was held in a joint meeting of the District Magistrate and the Superintendent of Police and the report was sent to the District Judge. Following his recommendation, a case under Gangster Act has been registered. Everyone will be presented in the court on Friday.
On Thursday, SOG (Special Operation Group) and Maudarwaja police station took Anurag Dubey 'Dabban', brother of Anupam Dubey, resident of Kasratta Mohalla of Fatehgarh Kotwali, into custody from Fatehgarh.
His other brother, Mohammadabad block chief Amit Dubey 'Babban', was detained from Nabiganj town of Mainpuri district.
Apart from this, Vineet Dubey, resident of Sahasapur of Babban's native village Mohammadabad, Dharmendra Chaturvedi, resident of village Alawalpur, two others were also arrested by the police. Everyone was brought to Maudarwaja police station and made to sit in a room.
Police station in-charge Ajab Singh, SOG in-charge Sachin Chaudhary, several police station in-charges, VIP cell in-charge Amit Gangwar, UP 112 in-charge Amod Kumar Singh etc. also remained in the police station till late evening.
It is being told that a complaint was made to the police against the mafia brothers and supporters for threatening and assaulting them. On the night of last 07 February, Eklavya Kumar, resident of Mohalla Bahadurganj, had filed a case of murderous attack against Anupam Dubey and other associates, in which it was said that he is a supporter of Shri Adult Hanuman Ji Maharaj Temple.
The land worth Rs 70 crore belonging to that temple was taken by mafia Anupam Dubey through fake records. He was seized by the district administration under the Gangster Act. Later that land was transferred by District Magistrate Ashutosh Kumar Dwivedi in the name of Shri Adult Hanuman Ji Maharaj Temple.
Angered by this, Anupam Dubey's people attacked him. On the other hand, after Babban and Dabban were arrested, a meeting was held between District Magistrate Ashutosh Kumar Dwivedi and Superintendent of Police Aarti Singh regarding action. After that the report was submitted to District Judge Neeraj Kumar.
After his permission, a case has been registered under the Gangster Act against Babban and many people including Dabban. The history sheets of both are open.
Let us tell you that the Supreme Court, while staying the arrest of Anurag Dubey 'Dabban', had given instructions to register any new case only after the permission of the District Judge.
This was the reason that the district level officials had to consult for a long time and take permission from the District Judge to take action against Dabban. Superintendent of Police Aarti Singh said that action is being taken against history-sheeters after considering all the facts and standards.
