Ashish Chaurasia, Greater Noida. Zeta One team has found a solution to the problems in the feet of players with disabilities and diabetes, such as pain in the feet due to excessive pressure on one side or standing and walking for a long time. In the hardware edition of Smart India Hackathon organized at GL Bajaj, the team of Zeta One of Dayanand Sagar University, Bengaluru has created a device called Orthosense, which automatically adjusts the pressure on the side of the foot. This is the first indigenous device of its kind.
This responsibility was given by the Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment to solve the problems faced by the disabled, surgery patients, people who work while standing for long hours, diabetic patients as well as athletics players. Zeta One team members SV Krutika and Lakshmi V said that their entire team has been working for several months to create the Orthosense device and now it has been ready.
He told that people have to go to doctors again and again for the problem of leg pain, but now there will be no need to go. To provide relief from that pain, his team has prepared a device called Orthosense, which will automatically balance the pain in a person's feet and the excessive pressure in their feet. This device is special in itself because till now there is no automatic system in the devices.
Device will be installed in the sole of shoes and slippers
The Orthosense device will be installed in the sole of shoes or slippers. Disabled people always suffer from leg pain due to excessive pressure on one leg while walking. Apart from the difficulty that patients face in walking after surgery and the difficulties they face in maintaining the balance of their body, it will also provide relief from the problem of diabetic patients always complaining of pain in their legs as well as the problem of pain faced by those who work by standing at one place for a long time, because this device will automatically adjust the pressure falling on that person and due to this he will never have to face any problem like pain.
Battery backup is six to 10 hours
Team mentor Abhinav JC said that the device has been designed completely automatically. Its battery backup is about six to 10 hours. The prototype of the device is ready. Now the government will take other action with its level patent and bring it in the market as per the level of use of the people. SV Krithika is leading the team making the device. It also includes Lakshmi V, Vipra, Pragati Kabbur, Sapandana DC, Karthik Raj.
