SO Murder Accused Constable Meenakshi Appeared Through Video Conferencing, Next Hearing To Be Held On February 5

Jagran correspondent, Orai. A woman constable, who was in jail in connection with the death of Kuthund police station in-charge Arun Kumar Rai due to being shot in the head by a service pistol, appeared in the court on Friday through video conferencing.

Now the date for his production has been given on 5th February. Meenakshi is in jail since December 7 last year. On the night of December 5, police station in-charge Arun Kumar Rai died after being shot with a service pistol at Kuthound police station. The pistol was found lying on his chest.

After the incident, the female constable posted at Konch Kotwali, Meenakshi Sharma, resident of Dadupur village of Meerut, came out screaming from her residence and ran away from the spot.

The police station in-charge's wife Maya Devi had filed a case against Meenakshi accusing her of murder. The same night, the police arrested Meenakshi from the Roadways bus stand on the basis of mobile location. She was planning to run away to Meerut. After presenting him in the court, he was sent to jail.
