State Minister Ashish Sood reached Kailashpuri on Sunday to meet the relatives of the youth who lost his life after falling into the pit of Delhi Jal Board on Joginder Singh Marg in Janakpuri along with his motorcycle. Here Kamal's father Naresh Dhyani told them that his son is gone, but his soul will rest in peace only when after a proper investigation of this incident the culprits will be punished for their actions.
He said that my child should get justice. Getting justice for my child will ensure that in future no other child will die by falling into a pit. Palam MLA Kuldeep Solanki was also present on the occasion. After listening to the bereaved father, the Minister assured him that the government will ensure that the family gets all possible help, support and justice. He assured the family that the government is looking at this matter with full sensitivity and seriousness. The government will learn from this incident and make necessary reforms in the system, so that there is no compromise with the life and safety of the citizens of Delhi.
While meeting the bereaved family, he expressed deep condolences over the incident and said that this incident is extremely painful, unbearable and will shock the entire society. In this difficult and sad moment, the Delhi government stands strongly with the victim's family. Ashish Sood clarified that this incident in Janakpuri is not just an accident but a serious matter related to the possibility of administrative negligence. Delhi Government has given instructions for a thorough investigation into all aspects of this incident. If there is a case of negligence or lack of responsibility at any level, then strictest action will be taken against the culprits.
The minister also said that the safety of citizens is the top priority of the Delhi government and any negligence in infrastructure related works will not be tolerated. To ensure that such incidents do not recur in future, strict guidelines are being issued to the concerned departments and the monitoring system will be further strengthened.
