Speeding Dumpers Wreak Havoc In Dehradun: Five Animals Of Van Gurjar Crushed, Many Injured

Speeding dumpers crushed animals on Dehradun-Paonta Sahib National Highway.

Jagran correspondent, Vikasnagar (Dehradun). The havoc caused by speeding vehicles was seen on the Dehradun-Paonta Sahib National Highway in the early hours of Friday.

Near Mitran Da Dhaba (Aaduwala) located on Shimla bypass road, uncontrolled dumpers filled with mining material crushed the herd of cattle of Van Gurjars going on the roadside.

In this tragic accident, five buffaloes died on the spot, while one cow and three buffaloes were seriously injured. A cow and three other buffaloes also suffered minor injuries.

According to the information received, the incident occurred around 5:15 am on Friday morning. Van Gurjar Yusuf (s/o Dil Mohammad), resident of Shahpur Kalyanpur, was returning to Himachal Pradesh with his total 15 animals.

Meanwhile, the speeding dumpers hit the animals from behind. The cattle herder suffered a loss worth lakhs of rupees in the accident, while the members of the Gurjar family who were traveling with him had a narrow escape.
