Digital Desk, Paris. An incident of stabbing has come to light in France's most famous city, Paris. Between 4:15 pm and 4:45 pm (local time) on Friday afternoon, a knife-wielding man attacked three women at different stations on Line 3 of the Paris Metro.
Le Parisien newspaper, quoting police sources, reported that the attacks took place at Arts-et-Metiers, Republique and Opéra stations. The line runs between Bagnolet (Seine-Saint-Denis) and Levallois-Perret (Hauts-de-Seine).
The suspect took out a knife and attacked the women, causing minor injuries on their backs and thighs. Paris firefighters immediately helped the victims at every station.
A female witness present at the Republic station said that a girl was injured in her thigh. There was a lot of bleeding; The wound was quite deep.
According to police, the suspect escaped via metro line 8, but was arrested at his home in Sarcelles (Val-d'Oise). He is of Mali origin and was born in 2000. The possibility of terrorism has been completely rejected.
Investigators believe this was the act of a mentally unstable person. Just two hours after the attacks, life returned to normal at Opera and Republic stations and Line 3 started running as usual.
