Dialogue thread, Bharohiya. Priya Shetty, who was found on Friday under the bridge at Barghatta village on Jaswal Marg, was identified on Tuesday. Step sister Kiran Jaiswal, who arrived from Mumbai, reached the mortuary at BRD Medical College and identified her on the basis of a mole on the right side of her face and an old burn mark on her right leg. The police will now get formal and legal confirmation of the identity through DNA matching. PPganj police had called Kiran Jaiswal from Mumbai to Gorakhpur to ensure identification of the body. For this, the plane ticket of the police station chief was booked. Kiran along with her neighbor reached Lucknow by air on Tuesday morning and from there came to Gorakhpur by road in the afternoon. She reached the mortuary with the police. According to the police, Priya Shetty's mother had married twice.

Priya was born from her first marriage, while Kiran Jaiswal is the child of her second husband. Considering the complexity of family relationships, the police have decided to get DNA matching done. Kiran's DNA sample will be matched, so that there is no dispute regarding identity. Kiran told the police that Priya had a childhood burn mark on her right leg and a mole on the right side of her face.

She had come to Gorakhpur with her live-in partner Vijay to protect the rights and future of her 13-year-old son Rudra. She wanted her son to inherit his father's name and to be educated in a good school. His dispute with accused Vijay and his wife Sandhya regarding this issue continued to increase.

After the post-mortem process was completed, Priya's last rites were performed at Rajghat in Gorakhpur on Tuesday night. During the last rites, step sister Kiran Jaiswal lit the funeral pyre. The family maintained distance from the media during this period.

Police will make Kiran a plaintiff. Initially, a case was registered in this matter on the complaint of the watchman. Now after the body has been identified, the police is preparing to make step sister Kiran Jaiswal the plaintiff. Police say that the investigation will be further strengthened on the basis of DNA report and other evidence. Son could not even come to offer funeral rites to his mother. Priya Shetty's last rites were performed at Rajghat on Tuesday night, but the same son, for whom she had come to Gorakhpur fighting for her rights and future, could not even give her last darshan and last rites of her mother. Due to lack of identity card, 13 year old Rudra was not allowed to travel by air due to which he could not come with Kiran.

His absence in front of his mother's funeral pyre made every eye moist. Only a few members of the family were present during the funeral, but the question on everyone's lips was that the son for whom Priya fought her last battle was not with her mother's bier. Police officials said that the journey was not possible due to Rudra's young age and he did not have valid documents.
