Currently, the average travel time from Varanasi to Siliguri is 15 to 17 hours. After the operation of the bullet train, this distance can be covered in about 4 hours. At the same time, the journey from Patna to Varanasi and further to Delhi will also be very easy and fast. This will make it easier for the people of Bihar to reach the country's capital and North-East India.
Elevated track will have less impact
The entire high-speed rail corridor will be elevated, built at a height of 12 to 15 meters from the ground. This will have limited impact on road traffic and local movement. In Bhojpur district, the bullet train will pass through 38 villages over a length of about 50 kilometers, for which about 96 hectares of land has been acquired.
Employment and investment will get a boost
The construction and operation of the Bullet Train project will create new employment opportunities in Bihar. There is a possibility of increase in investment in real estate, hotel, tourism and logistics sectors around the stations. Patna and surrounding areas can get the most benefit from it.
