Jagran correspondent, New Delhi. The crime branch team has arrested the wanted criminal in the case of firing and murder in Bhalswa Dairy police station area. He was absconding since October last year, who has been identified as Subhan Khan. Police have already arrested four of his associates in this case.
According to Deputy Commissioner Pankaj Kumar, on October 15 last year, Subhan Khan along with his associates Abhishek alias Beedi, Rahul, Ankit alias Vicky and Shakeel reached Nasir's house in Bhalswa Dairy with illegal weapons from Sunil Gupta. During the confrontation, Nasir's family threw bricks from the roof to protect themselves, but Shakeel and his associates opened fire.
During this, two people were shot, one of whom, Shahrukh, died during treatment. Police registered the case and started investigation and arrested four accused Shakeel, Ankit, Prince and Zuber, while Subhan Khan was absconding. The case was handed over to the Crime Branch and a team was formed under the supervision of ACP Ashok Sharma and the leadership of Inspector Ajay Sharma.
During the investigation, on December 12, Head Constable Neeraj got secret information from the informer that Subhan was going to meet a friend between 3 pm and 4 pm. The team laid a trap at the place of information and caught the accused.
During interrogation, he told that Subhan was present in SSN Colony with his associates on the night of the incident. He was instructed to collect weapons and go with the group to Nasir's house. He had a pistol, while the other associates had two pistols, from which they opened fire during the confrontation. He had fled the spot after the incident and was hiding at several places to avoid arrest.
