Jyoti Singh, younger daughter of Jharia's late and famous MLA Surajdev Singh, has now entered active politics. She is going to contest the election for the post of Mayor of Mango Municipal Corporation of Jamshedpur. With his entry into the electoral fray, the stir in Kolhan's politics has also intensified.

MLA Ragini Singh and family encouraged

To strengthen Jyoti Singh's political debut, prominent family members reached Jamshedpur on Saturday. Current Jharia MLA Ragini Singh, former MLA Sanjeev Singh and Siddharth Gautam alias Manish Singh participated in various programs with him. This visit is being seen not just as a show of family support but also as an organized political message.

The family's long political legacy

Surajdev Singh started his political journey in 1977 by becoming MLA from Jharia during undivided Bihar. His influence extended to Jharkhand, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. His brother Bikram Singh was an MLA from Bairia in UP, while the other brother Bacha Singh became an MLA from Jharia and a minister in the Jharkhand government. His wife Kunti Singh was elected MLA from Jharia twice on BJP ticket.

New generation also active in politics

Surajdev Singh's son Sanjeev Singh has also been an MLA from Jharia and now his wife Ragini Singh is an MLA. Son Siddharth Gautam is also active in politics. Elder daughter Kiran Singh has contested the Zilla Parishad elections in Bhojpur, Bihar. Now younger daughter Jyoti Singh has also become completely politically active.

Jamshedpur Tour and Public Relations

On Saturday, members of the Singh family offered prayers at the famous Kali temple in Jamshedpur. After this, workers welcomed him at Pardih Chowk, Dimna Chowk, Ulidih, Parasnagar, Heera Hotel and Mango Chowk. During this, MLA Ragini Singh said that BJP and NDA supported candidates will win in the municipal elections and the country is continuously progressing under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

During their stay in Jamshedpur, Ragini Singh, Sanjeev Singh and Jyoti Singh also met JDU MLA from Jamshedpur West Saryu Rai. In political circles, this is being seen as a strategy for Jyoti Singh to strengthen the electoral equation at the local level. It is clear from this that efforts are being made to get Jyoti Singh's candidature not just family but also wider political support.
