Jagran correspondent, Muzaffarpur. Principal cum Superintendent of Shri Krishna Medical College and Hospital (SKMCH), Dr. Abha Rani Sinha, has canceled the tender of 24 gunman guards of M/s Goswami Security Service Pvt. Ltd., the outsourcing agency deployed for the security of the hospital.
He has asked the agency to remove 24 gunman guards with immediate effect. The Principal said that there is no need of gunman guard for the security of the hospital. For this he has been removed.
According to the information, gunmen were deployed in SKMCH since the year 2018 under the outsourcing agency M/s Goswami Security Service Private Limited. Apart from these, there are 172 nun gunman guards. Tender was to be held every year, but even after seven years, due to the kindness of the Superintendent's office, the tender was not done. Every year renewal was done in the name of satisfactory work. Under the cover of this, the agency had reinstated guards in the hospital without gunmen or standards.
It is said that more than half of the guards here are to be retired soldiers from the army. He has to complete training for Civil Guard. People above 60 years of age are not to be kept in guard, but the agency is not doing so.
The Principal said that the tender process is being scrutinized. It is being ascertained through his files on what basis work was continuously allotted to him instead of new tender. On what basis was the number of guards increased after the tender? Complete information is being sought from the dealing clerk.
Here, a few days ago, under the supervision of SDM Tushar Kumar and SDPO 2 Vineeta Sinha, 11 security personnel were not found at the duty place after attending the night shift.
A case had come to light of many security personnel working in hotels and restaurants after maintaining their presence. After this, the district administration is preparing to take strict action against the agency that took Rs 4 crore in SKMCH regarding security arrangements.
It is said that the security of SKMCH depends on God. Even after spending four crores on the security agency, the doctors, nursing staff on duty here, the patients and their relatives who have come for treatment are not safe.
Often, doctors are fighting in places where there are more guards. The middlemen of the private hospital are forcibly taking away the patients from the emergency ward. The security personnel remain mute spectators. Efforts to investigate this matter are also going on at the district level.

During the firing on August 15, 2023, the security personnel of outsourcing agency Goswami was arrested by Ahiyapur police. Two guards were sent to jail by the police. Police had confiscated the weapons of half a dozen guards.
In this, flaws were found in the licenses of many. Till now the weapons are deposited in Ahiyapur police station. The agency was deploying the gunman for the security of SKMCH without getting the weapons checked. Even after this, its tender was being renewed every seven.
