Preparations have started to develop a new textile and silk park on the land of closed spinning mill in four districts of the state including Maghar of Sant Kabirnagar. The Handloom and Textile Industry Department has given instructions to start the process of conducting ground survey for this.
After the survey report comes, the way will be cleared for the establishment of textile park in the closed spinning mill complex located in Maghar. According to the letter issued by Pramod Chandra Thakur, Joint Commissioner, Directorate of Handloom and Textile Industry, there is a plan to develop textile and silk park on the land of closed spinning mill in four districts of the state - Santakbirnagar (Maghar), JP Nagar (Amroha), Bareilly (Baheri) and Bijnor (Nagina). Is proposed. A detailed survey will be conducted to assess the condition, utility and required infrastructure of land available at these locations.
On behalf of the department, the Assistant Commissioner has sent a letter to the officials of the concerned districts under the Sant Kabir Textile and Apparel Park Scheme, instructing them to conduct a land demand survey. Through the survey, it will be assessed how much land is required for textile and silk related units, which location would be most suitable and how practical it is to set up the units after allotment of land.

The survey report will also include the requirements of CETP (Common Effluent Treatment Plant), boiler, electricity, water, roads and other infrastructure facilities. The priority of the government is to give it to such investors who have already signed an MOU for investment with the state government.
The establishment of Textile and Silk Park will not only make better use of closed industrial properties but will also create new employment opportunities at the local level. Especially in areas like Maghar, it is expected to give impetus to industrial activities and strengthen the regional economy.
