Jagran correspondent, Jaipur. The accused of murder of a history-sheeter in Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan was living as a beggar in Jaipur. The accused, carrying a reward of Rs 50,000, had shaved his head to escape from the police. He was begging with a bowl outside the Hanuman temple in Jaipur.
Police arrested the accused Deepak Mansaria on Sunday. Jhunjhunu District Superintendent of Police Brijesh Jyoti Upadhyay said that David, a history-sheeter from the area, was murdered about three months ago. Deepak, accused of murder, was absconding.
How did the police get the clue of the accused?
Police had received information from an informer that Deepak was making money by posing as a beggar in a temple in Jaipur. When the police reached the spot, he was begging wearing old and torn clothes. He had also stayed in Delhi last month to escape.
kept under surveillance for two days
The police were keeping a watch on Deepak for the last two days. He was arrested on Sunday. There was an old enmity between history-sheeter David and Deepak. For this reason Deepak had killed David. Many other cases are already registered against Deepak.
