The Case Lasted For 22 Years, Six Accused Including Former Minister Of State For Home Saidujjama And Former MP Kadir Rana Were Acquitted.

Jagran correspondent, Muzaffarnagar. The Special MP/MLA Court has acquitted six people including former MP Qadir Rana, former Minister of State for Home Saidujjama in the case of violation of code of conduct. The case continued in the court for almost 22 years. It was alleged that the officers who had come to stop the election meeting were attacked. In the year 2004, in Muzaffarnagar city, a case was registered for attacking the officers by holding an election meeting without permission at Fakkarshah Chowk of the city police station and obstructing the government work. In the case, the police had registered a case under various sections against six people including former MP Qadir Rana, Saeeduzzaman, Ahsan Qureshi, former councilor Salim Ahmed and Sadiq.

Two years ago, the judge of Civil Judge Senior Division Court had framed charges against the accused under sections 188, 353 and 392. The defense had approached the High Court against this decision of the lower court, after which the court ordered the lower court to hear it again. After this the hearing of the case was going on.

In this, senior advocate Surendra Sharma, advocate Amjad Ali, Nakli Tyagi, Sultan Musheer have represented. After the hearing on Tuesday, the court of MP/MLA Court Judge Devendra Faujdar acquitted all the accused including former MP and SP leader Qadir Rana, former Minister of State for Home Saidujjama, former councilor Haji Salim, Shamim Ahmed, Sadiq Ahmed in the code of conduct case. Advocate Amjad Ali said that Ahsan Qureshi, accused in the case, has died.
