Jagran correspondent, Dehradun. Some youths beat up badly the staff who had come to admit the young man in a de-addiction centre. One of them broke his teeth, the other one ran away to save his life. In this case, Cantt Kotwali police has registered a case against four youths.
In the complaint given to the police, Santosh Khajuria resident Kishan Nagar Chowk said that he is working at Serenity De-addiction Center located at Kishan Nagar Chowk. On the night of January 10, a woman, Rani Devi, resident of Gandhi Nagar called the director of the center, Rajat Baloni, and wanted to get her son Vansh admitted to the de-addiction center.
The complainant said that on receiving information, he along with his associates Yogesh and Shubham Maurya reached the place told by the woman, but the woman was not found there. Suddenly 10 to 12 youth present there attacked him with sticks and sharp weapons. Due to the sudden attack, Shubham and Yogesh somehow ran away to save their lives.
All the youth surrounded him and beat him badly, due to which two of his teeth were broken and two teeth are on the verge of breaking. The accused also broke his head, where five stitches were required. Apart from this, his scooter was also broken. According to the victim, the youth were calling each other by names like Vansh, Pranjal, Priyanshu and Tillu.
Inspector in-charge of Cantt Kotwali, Kamal Kumar Lunthi said that on the basis of the complaint, a case has been registered against the accused.
