Sunil Mann, Narnaund. The municipality has started implementing a big plan to change the face of the city and clean the environment. Bhagat Singh Market, located near the old bus stand of the city, which was once synonymous with dirt and bad smell, will soon see the smell of flowers and greenery there. This two and a half acre land will be converted into a modern and beautiful park at a cost of about one crore rupees. Let us tell you that the garbage of the entire city was being dumped at this place by the municipality for a long time. Due to filth, people of Government College, Tagore School and nearby markets were in bad condition. Now this waste has been shifted to the dumping site at Budana.

Presently the work of leveling the place is going on. There will be a grand boundary wall around the park and a paved walkway will be built for walking. Along with planting shady and fruitful trees, colorful flower gardens will be developed here.

Municipal Chairman Shamsher Kukan said that there is a plan to build a total of three parks in the city. The estimate of this park has been prepared and soon the tender process will be completed and construction work will be started. He said that Narnaund is being made clean and beautiful with the cooperation of councilors and city residents. According to Municipal Secretary Pradeep Kumar, the work of cleaning the land is going on war footing. Soon a grand main gate and other facilities of the park will be developed by floating a tender. Educational institutions have got the biggest relief from the removal of garbage. It was difficult for the students to sit in the class due to the foul smell of dirt, but now with the construction of the park the environment will be purified.
