Threatened to kill toll plaza manager for not allowing vehicle to pass free
Jagran correspondent, Modipuram (Meerut). At Sivaya Toll Plaza on Delhi-Doon Highway, a young manager was threatened with murder for not allowing the vehicle to be taken out without paying. Senior manager Anuj Som told the police that about ten days ago a young man in a car reached the toll. The car did not have Fastag. The toll worker asked the driver to pay double the toll as per rules.
On this the young man started quarreling with the employee. Seeing the dispute escalating, the employees fired him. On Friday, the young man again reached the toll and started taking out the car without paying. The toll worker stopped. The young man and his two companions got down from the car and reached his office and started abusing.
When the manager asked him to leave after paying the toll fee as per rules, the young man started threatening to kill him. The accused youth was identified as Rahul, resident of village Salawa in Sardhana police station area. Daurala Inspector Suman Kumar Singh said that a case has been registered against Tahrir. Action will be taken after checking the footage.
