Jagran correspondent, Buxar. A young man accused of kidnapping a minor escaped by breaking the toilet window of the city police station on Monday morning.
Police raids are going on at every possible hideout of the absconding youth to arrest him. A day earlier, on Sunday night, the police had caught the accused from Ludhiana.
Giving information, Police Station Head Manoj Kumar Singh said that a 15-year-old girl from a locality of the city police station area was missing since December 20.
After a lot of investigation, the girl's father lodged an FIR in this case against a young man named Farhan Juwaid, a resident of Khalasi Mohalla, suspecting him of kidnapping.
As part of the search for the girl, she was caught in Ludhiana along with accused Farhan and brought to Buxar on Sunday. At nine o'clock on Monday morning, he had gone to the toilet inside the police station premises, pretending to go to the toilet.
During this time, he broke the already dilapidated window of the toilet and escaped by jumping over the wall of the police station. As soon as the incident was known, the police started conducting raids in search of the accused youth.
However, the absconding accused has not been caught till evening. The police station incharge told that about six months ago also the girl had left the house.
After filing the FIR, when he was searched by the police and brought, he had said that he would go voluntarily. Let us tell you that this is the third incident of prisoner and accused absconding from the police station premises within a year. Despite this, the police administration is not improving the resources of the police station.
